AES' secondray containment booms are constructed of closed cell floats encased in a durable polymer fabric highly resistant to both hydrocarbons and UV. A galvanised chain in a pocket at the bottom of the skirt acts as a ballast to ensure stability in the water.
Secondary containment booms are ideal for:
- Containment of hydrocarbons and floating sediment on larger water courses
- Intended for permanent deployment, long life in situ
Tips for the use of secondary containment booms:
- These booms are for containment, and won't absorb any liquids. For absorption of hydrocarbons from a water course, use floating booms instead
