This handheld device enables both items passed and defects to be recorded as required.On the handheld device, the details of the defects are captured, and responsible contractors can also be assigned to rectify the defect.
Time and date stamped digital photos can be taken from the handheld device, and associate to the particular defect, as well as rectifications cost being estimated.
Then from either onsite if a wireless internet connection is available (via GPRS / Wifi / Wimax / IBurst / 3G), or on returning to the office, the defect list and other inspection results are uploaded to the web or intranet based management system, with email, fax or SMS alerts being sent automatically to the relevant contractors, according to their trade.
The contractor can then login and update the Defect Register, with email, fax or SMS alerts being sent to the inspector to provide a prompt to re inspect the site.
