Ansac HK Series kilns are a unique design for indirect fired rotary kiln equipment. The key difference is the drive mechanism for the kiln.
Ansac kilns use a centre-line drive. The heat tube is suspended by the gearbox at the discharge end and a proprietary designed yoke and bearing arrangement at the feed end. Conventional kilns are driven by a trunnion/roller arrangement.
The centre-line drive arrangement leads to a significant advantage in that the heat tube is totally encapsulated by ceramic fibre insulation. No part of the heat tube is exposed to the atmosphere leading to considerably higher thermal efficiency.
This leads to two major benefits. Firstly, the kiln will be significantly smaller and therefore reducing capital cost. Secondly the kiln requires less energy to run. Operating cost savings in lower fuel consumption are between 33% and 50%.
