Thycon MPU-B Series UPS

Supplier: Thycon

In an MPU-B Series UPS, power derived from the mains is converted to DC. This power, backed by the UPS battery, is then inverted to provide a conditioned supply of constant frequency and controlled voltage for use by computers and other critical loads.

In case of mains failure the UPS continues operating from the battery. In this manner the UPS load is unaffected by the quality or the availability of mains power. The high efficiency and the space saving features of the MPU-B Series are the result of a total system approach.

Significant innovations in the design and manufacturing technology of transformers, reactors and static converters have contributed to reduced losses and excellent space utilisation.

The uncomplicated design of the total system, proven by over 200 MVA of Thycon installations, together with a commitment to high manufacturing standards, serves to achieve reliable performance and long equipment life.

To enhance the user friendliness of the MPU-B Series, the UPS system functions are controlled and displayed by in-built micro-processors.

The MPU-B Series features simple construction and high reliability, and is compatible with standard computer specifications such as IBM, DEC, Unisys, Olivetti, HP and Honeywell.

The MPU-B Series UPS is built to meet the following standards: AS, BS, IEC and VDE.
