Electrodrive Gzunda
Electrodrive Gzunda is Australasia's largest supplier of hospital bedmovers, with its unique and innovative design, Gzunda* bedmover.
This detachable unit fits easily under the hospital bed or trolley and attaches with a simple, safe and effective mechanical hitch, to the frame of the bed. Its compact design allows it to fit (with the hospital bed or trolley) into most hospital lifts making transfer between floors a simple matter.
In most hospitals, and many healthcare facilities, beds and patients are constantly on the move between departments, services, Wards and operating theatres, with the total distance covered amounting to many kilometres each day. The physical effort, and risk of injury, involved in moving them is considerable, particularly in those facilities which have ramps or gradients to negotiate.
The Gzunda effortlessly, and safely, moves heavy beds, up or down 1:12 gradients, on carpet, vinyl or concrete surfaces, safely negotiating tight corners, and eliminating the risk of injury to staff caused by the manual handling of heavy hospital beds and patients. As a detachable device, one Gzunda bedmover can serve a number of hospital beds and can also be used to safely move a variety of trolleys.
Manufactured in stainless steel, the Gzunda is available with either a handlebar or tiller control. All the safety features found on other Electrodrive products are incorporated into the Gzunda, including the unique "back-off" safety bar, which ensures an operator can never be trapped in a confined space.
The standard Gzunda has a capacity of 350kg with a heavy duty version capable of 500kg. A special bariatric version is available for bariatric beds and patients with a capacity of 750kg.
