The scheduler accepts, as its input, specific delivery constraints captured in the operations system. These include vehicle availability, start/end locations, type of vehicle , capacity , driver availability, driver start/end time, consignment volume & weight, customer address & requested delivery time window.
Based on the above information, the system constructs the optimised route & assigns orders to vehicles thereby assisting the dispatcher in arriving at the day plan and driver run sheets without much effort.
