A truck tyre washing system was recently commissioned for a concrete demolition and recycling facility in Brooklyn, Victoria.
The tyre washing system supplied by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch complies with EPA requirements for all truck tyres and wheels to be washed before vehicles leave site.
The AccuWash truck tyre washing system incorporates high pressure water spray heads connected to a high quality stainless steel pump to dislodge accumulated dust, mud and clay from vehicle tyres, wheels and underbody.
Tyre washing removes "track out" from busy work sites which otherwise could be liable for heavy fines for both the business and trucks operating from the site.
Accuweigh’s DTW241 Truck Tyre Washing System is fitted with numerous environmentally friendly devices to minimise water usage while also improving wash performance to recover over 75% of sprayed water.
A powered conveyor scraper continuously removes sludge and organic materials from the tyre washes water storage tank and pushes it into an external bin.
For improved water quality, a hydrocyclone solids separator used in Accuweigh’s tyre washer is a centrifugal separator that removes sand, soil, grit and other solid matter from the water with very little head loss at 90% efficiency.
The efficiency remains constant without any head loss build up and no clogging by the solids that are being separated from the dirty water generated by the tyre washing action.
Accuweigh can also provide integrated traffic lights to control vehicular access to the truck tyre wash as well as fully prefabricated pedestrian handrails and gates around sludge pits and along wheel wash driveways for increased pedestrian safety as required by OH&S.
Accuweigh has eight branches across mainland states providing full after sales service support on all truck tyre washing systems.
