This system uses a transparent acrylic case to allow viewing of packs while submerged and subjected to a vacuum. Even small leaks can be observed, and adjustments can be made to sealing equipment once the locations of the leaks are found. A mesh barrier attached to the lid ensures the pack is completely submerged during every test. Gas struts attached to the lid provide lifting assistance to the operator and reduce safety issues during a leak test.
The system uses a compressed air driven vacuum generator to provide a constant vacuum within the chamber. An electronic vacuum gauge reads the pressure within the case and allows the user to make adjustments to the pressure regulator. This also allows for repeatable testing procedures as the same pressure can be used to compare results.
This leak testing system provides a simple and inexpensive method of locating the smallest of leaks with minimal fuss. The test procedure is fast and the leak tester is easy to use, yet it is very reliable and highly sensitive.
An optional Control module introduces 1 or 2 adjustable vacuum set-points, and programmable evacuation timers for greater repeatability and less compressed air usage.
