User-defined I/O Expansion PoE Module - WISE-7901

Supplier: ICP Electronics

ICP Electronics Australia has announced the release of the WISE-7901 User-defined I/O Expansion PoE Module from ICP DAS.

Price Guide: POA

WISE (Web Inside, Smart Engine) is a product series developed by ICP DAS that functions as a control unit for use in remote logic control and monitoring in various industrial applications. WISE offers a user-friendly and intuitive website interface that allows users to implement IF-THEN-ELSE control logic on controllers with just a few clicks - no programming required. With its powerful and easy-to-use features, it will minimise the learning curve, shorten time to market and dramatically reduce the effort and cost spent on system development.

The WISE-7901 follows IEEE 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) specification. It allows the receiving of power from PoE enabled networks by Ethernet pairs (via Ethernet cable). This feature provides greater flexibility and higher efficiency, therefore simplifying system design, saving space, reducing cables and eliminating the requirement for dedicated electrical outlets. If used within a non-PoE environment, the WISE-7901 is still able to receive power from auxiliary power sources such as AC adapters or batteries.

The module supports Modbus/TCP protocol to enable seamless integration with SCADA software where available. It also supports an I/O expansion bus to implement various I/O functions such as D/I, D/O, A/D and D/A.

The WISE-7901 module is ideal for applications such as building, factory & machine automation, remote maintenance & diagnosis and testing industrial equipment.
