The Following is the procedure AVT Services Pty Ltd use for vacuum pump repairs.
1) Initial Procedures
AVT can arrange the transport of your vacuum pump to one of our workshop facilities, where it will receive a job number. AVT document the status and details of your pump throughout the entire rebuilding process, to ensure a quality repair or service.
If applicable, we then run initial tests to determine specific details about your pump. For example; flow rate, pumping speed and ultimate vacuum. We then generate graphs and data sheets for these results which are assigned to your pump, both through computer records, and physical documentation.
If you require a loan vacuum pump during the duration of the repair, we can offer a loan pump free of charge if we have a suitable model available.
2) Stripping and Assessment
All of AVT’s workshops are facilitated to ensure an OHS-compliant, environmentally safe and secure setting for both our employees, as well as your vacuum equipment.
Once initial testing on the vacuum pump has been complete, our team will begin the strip and assessment. Your pump is completely disassembled and cleaned. This cleaning process allows our technicians to accurately examine each individual part for analysis and evaluation.
Complete analysis and evaluation of your vacuum pump is the next step in the process. We inspect each individual component and provide a complete service report including a competitive quote for your review.
All damage to the pump is specified.
Major components which require replacement are listed on the report.
All kits are quoted for replacement (as applicable).
Once we have received your approval and purchase order number, your pump undergoes another cleaning to remove any final contaminants before we commence the reassembly process.
AVT’s skilled technicians reassemble your pump using the assembly techniques of the pump’s original manufacturer. This ensures the pump is restored to like-new performance.
Our long experience in vacuum pump repairs and our stringent compliance to quality procedures often result in a rebuilt pump that outperforms a new one.
To give you peace of mind, all of the vacuum pump repairs conducted by AVT come with a 6 month warranty.
AVT has refined a specific set of testing criteria that every pump must meet before returning to our customers. We have implemented calibrated electronic testing equipment into our final testing area, to confirm the following against both OEM and AVT standards.
Noise and vibration
Once testing is complete, and the pump has met or exceeded operational standards, the pump is returned to the customer site, and if needed re-installed by one of our experienced service technicians.
