The MultiCoil is a single stainless steel tube wound in a spiral with a counter flow of hot or cold water.
The ratio of the diameter of the tube to the diameter of the spiral sets up a flow pattern within the tube that continually exposes new product to the walls of the tube for efficient heat transfer.
Applications in Process and General Industry
The MultiCoil heat exchanger is constructed of 316 stainless steel and could be used in industry for heating or cooling compatible product streams containing solid particles.
Applications in the Food Industry
The chief application of the MultiCoil heat exchanger is in the food industry, for very gentle heating and cooling of temperature sensitive products, particularly those containing particles.
MultiCoil heat exchangers have been used for such things as sauces, soups, eggs and pie fillings.
These heat exchangers have a single straight-through pipe without gaskets, are not subject to blockages or fouling and are suitable for CIP.
