The major benefit of waterjet cutting is that it can cut most materials accurately without the use of heat, thus no stress or heat affected zones in the finished product, which is particularly important in this, brittle and lightweight materials.
Cuts can be made within +/-0.1mm dimensionally in thickness up to 50mm.
The maximum thickness of materials that can be cut is currently 200mm, with a sheet size of up to 4000mm x 2000mm. Greater thicknesses have been cut, so for thicker material please contact us direct for details.
The advantage of water jet technology is that it opens up a new era in the use of materials that were traditionally difficult to process with convenient tooling.
Most materials can be cut to any shape. The water jet cutting does not damage the surface finish. The machines cut the material cold, this there is no heat or change to temperature with the cut showing little or no burring giving a quality edge finish.
