Matthews can integrate the user-friendly and easy-to-service GLM-I systems into a network, or they can be used as stand-alone machines.
Packages are correctly and automatically forwarded, aligned, weighed and labelled – even packages of varying height and alignment. Labelling can be on the top, back or side. Speeds range from 70 to 170 packages per minute.
Single or multiple belts, together with an optional turning/alignment station, can further expand the modular machine.
But even if the system is expanded to its maximum, only a single GT-12C user terminal is still needed to control all the machines.
Soft keys for basic price, tare and date can be assigned self-explanatory pictograms, and quick buttons allow customer-specific operating elements to be generated. A WYSIWIG label previewer allows the operator to see the label on the user terminal as soon as the PLU has been activated. This reduces set up times and errors during the labelling process.
A wide range of labels can be used. The LDI 160 label dispenser provides a module for all label formats: decorative, seals or full-cover packaging labels.
Traceability via the Bizerba intelligent TTI system label ensures complete re-traceability along the entire cold chain. (Bizerba is the first supplier of such automatic labelling machines for TTI labels.)
The GLM-I range is networkable and can grow with a manufacturer's needs.
