Schenck Process is proud to introduce our range of Wet Drum Magnetic Separators, specially designed for optimal recovery of magnetite or ferrosilicon from dilute media.
The Schenck Process series of Magnetic Separators utilise a counter-rotation feed arrangement to ensure impressive performance. Counter rotation means that the majority of magnetics are picked up right at the feed entry point, while any particles that pass through are scavenged over the remaining magnetised surface.
This allows the Schenck process range to consistently deliver excellent recovery efficiencies at higher throughputs.
The magnets themselves are permanent, made from Strontium Ferrite to be ceramic 8 equivalents. The magnets are assembled in a unique High Strength Radial Pole (HSRP) arrangement, by sandwiching them between radial steel poles, and have an active angle of 136°.
This results in a more even magnetic field that is approximately twice as strong as the common interpole type assembly at the drum surface.
The tank is fabricated using only high quality stainless steel to ensure your investment is protected in the long term. The pulp level is set by utilizing the full length adjustable weir plate.
The design of the tank ensures that the level is maintained during normal plant feed fluctuations, which alleviates the need for spigot control. Schenck Process can also supply valve solutions to further optimise the underflow/overflow ratio.
The stainless steel drum is supplied with a consumable 3mm thick wear wrap that will prevent irreparable damage being caused to the separator. Further maintenance is facilitated by easy access to grease points, and jacking bolts for adjusting the position of the drum within the tank. The magnet assembly inside the drum can also be easily adjusted via a torque arm.
