Based on TN7 and TN22 this course focuses on the identification of hazards and the implementation of risk management for safe cutting and welding operations on mine sites.
Training is delivered on behalf of WTIA Welding Technology Institute of Australia and represents overall interests of the welding industry.

Identifying hazards and implementing risk management for safe cutting and welding operations
The Competency Level Achieved in this course will be the ability to:
- Set up
- Shutdown Welding and Cutting equipment safely
The course can either be conducted at our customised skills training centre or on request, at client sites.
Learning and assessment activities will be conducted by assessors using a range of evidence gathering techniques throughout the course including written and practical assessments.
Your trainer and assessor will clearly explain the assessment process to you and support you where necessary to ensure you have a full understanding of the assessment process prior to commencing any assessment.
Practical understanding of the associated hazards and safe use of cutting and welding equipment.
Upon successful completion of the WTIA course, candidates will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance from Capability Resources as well as an approved Certificate from WTIA in Safe Cutting and Welding.
There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for this course.
