IDV Bubble

Most commercially available Digital Video Recording systems, use VMD to initiate the recording of images. In a controlled environment (constant lighting & static environment) this is a very effective form of recording with minimal false alarms /  recordings. But when systems are required to record in volatile environments such as the outdoors, the number of false alarms / recordings increases dramatically.

VMD is calculated on a 2 Dimensional plane and it is extremely difficult measuring the depth of field within an image, something as simple as a car headlight passing through a cameras field of view can activate VMD (see below).

To over come these issues the answer is Spatial Video Motion Detection, the idea is to create a Sensor field or a "Sensor Bubble" around an object or an area that requires monitoring.

To do this 2 or more cameras are needed, an object is monitored from different camera positions, a zone or multiple zones are created on each camera and this creates a "Sensor Bubble". For the system to create an alarm all zones surrounding the object have to be breached simultaneously.

The system is not limited to CCTV cameras only, standard alarm sensors can be integrated into the "Sensor Bubble" to provide a Reliable & Robust video alarm system.

There are two variants of The Zone IDV Bubble.
1 - Video IDV Bubble - this uses standard video cameras to monitor for zone breaches.
2 - Thermal IDV Bubble - this uses Thermal Cameras to monitor for zone breaches. Both versions comprise of 16 video inputs, 32 intrusion zones & up to 48 / 36 (I/O).

The Zone IDV Bubble's functionality is driven by physics rather than image processing, therefore enhancing the systems field reliability. Alarm detection is not dependant on sometimes unreliable computer vision technology.

Video IDV Bubble
Video IDV Bubble is a Spatial Video Motion Detection system.
It is a multi channel Video Motion Detection (VMD) sensor, capable of generating / transmitting & receiving alarms.

Video IDV Bubble can be implemented into any existing CCTV network.

There is no need to replace cameras or video equipment, Video IDV Bubble would utilise a loop out video from a DVR, Video Amplifier, Matrix etc.

Using the mouse, zones can be created, they are distinguished by different colours (as seen below).

Any object that passes through the corresponding coloured zone simultaneously, will activate an alarm. This alarm can then be transmitted to a remote site or activate an alert locally.
