APC Satellite Pallet Racking
APC have partnered with the industry leader in RadioShuttle satellites for heavy lifting, EAB. The racking system APC have developed has been designed with tapered sides to allow for easier forklift loading of the satellite unit. The system has been designed with a remote control satellite to allow for depths of up to 34 pallets. Due to the remote satellite design the trucks do not have to enter the racking system. The RadioShuttle satellite is manually positioned via a forklift, once placed the satellite is then free to select the required pallets. Satellite racking utilises the entire volume of a warehouse, while offering efficient and economical pallet management, creating an efficient warehouse storage system.

LIFO HANDLING
The 'last-in first-out' (LIFO) pallet management takes place in one aisle. This means that the rack can be made much deeper than an ordinary high density racking. Furthermore, the truck does not need to stand and wait for the Radioshuttle, it is free to work elsewhere. This results in a higher rate of turnover while reducing the trucks handling time.
FIFO HANDLING
Here the Satellite Racking is loaded from the rear aisle and unloaded in the main aisle (at the front). The organised system of storage and the pallets are therefore managed after the principle, first in-first out.
