AQUALUMA LED High-bay Lighting fights back against imports

Supplier: Aqualuma LED Lighting

AQUALUMA LED Lighting world leader in energy efficient commercial High-bay lighting has a new product to compliment its premium range targeting imported fixtures.

AQUALUMA LED Lighting is a Gold Coast-based manufacturer of commercial LED lighting. Owned by brothers, Carl and Grant Amor the company has manufactured the world’s most energy efficient commercial LED lighting for the past seven years from its purpose built facility at Helensvale. The range uses majority sourced Australian components and aluminium castings and is assembled using local labour from the Gold Coast.

Typically, companies make huge energy savings by switching to energy efficient LED lighting. Often in the commercial market factories and warehouses will have outdated Metal Halide lights, which generally consume 400w per unit. Replacing these old lights with Aqualuma energy efficient LED lights from 90 to 125w (depending on application) can reduce energy costs by over 75%. Across QLD, NSW, Vic and SA there are energy rebates available making the changeover even more affordable and in some cases, making it cash flow positive from day one through AQUALUMA’s range of financing options.

The market for LED commercial lighting has been flooded with imported product, inevitably driving quality down. AQUALUMA has responded to this challenge by launching a new product ‘The Lite-bay’, which is complimentary to its existing premium quality LED Highbay lights. The new Lite-bay is still an Australian made AQUALUMA premium quality product, standing head and shoulders over the competition with 130w output, IP66 water ingress rating, marine grade epoxy powder-coated aluminium housing and heat sink, but available at a market leading price with an Aqualuma warranty.

The Lite-bay was designed to provide a simple and cost-effective solution for clients requiring a straightforward luminaire with a high output where specialised optics, sophisticated controls and complex installations are not required.

Aqualuma Director Carl Amor says, “The new Lite-bay allows us to compete in a new sector where clients need a straightforward lighting solution, without the level of control and optical options that Aqualuma usually offers. There is only one 130w model, efficiency levels are at a highly competitive 127 lumens/watt and we can beat the imports on price.”

“We have won many awards over the past few years that we are proud of, the latest being the Premier’s Award for Export in December. We export our existing range to UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and we expect the future demand for the new Lite-bay to be as strong.”

The AQUALUMA range is available across all states having a team of national distributors and direct sales, typically working with some of the country’s leading manufacturers, logistics, wholesale and big-box retail stores.
