New Lightweight Transfer Trailer

Stonnington Council has taken delivery of their new, lightweight, compaction transfer trailer that was designed and manufactured by Wastech Engineering.

Delivered in early July 2009, the clearline transfer trailer was ordered by the council to expand their fleet and give greater flexibility and allow greater volumes of waste to be transported appropriately.

Ian Smith of Stonnington Council says that “the new, lighter trailer has effectively cut out every 5th load”. “Wastech Engineering worked closely with us to accommodate our operating requirements and incorporated these into the final design”.

Transfer Station Project

Wastech Engineering in consultation with Launceston City Council Recently completed a state of the art Transfer Station development for the City of Launceston and North East Tasmania.

The Wastech Transfer Station System consisted of an S4000 Compaction system and the Largest Stationary Moving Floor Receival Pit ever installed in Australia, being 45 metres long and 4 metres wide, with a dedicated area at the end of the pit for recovery of recyclables and resalable items. This dedicated area was extremely important to council so as to comply with it's vision of maximizing recovery of recyclables and diversion of waste to landfill.

The system was designed by Wastech in conjunction with LCC and IPD Consulting.
