Sensitivity to noise varies from person to person. The general rule is that a level exceeding 80 dB(A) can impair hearing. If one must speak louder to make oneself understood, the ambient level is 80 dB(A) or higher; the higher the level, the higher the risk of hearing impairment.
Once your hearing has been impaired, the damage is permanent. Therefore use Elacin custom-made hearing protection in a noisy environment.
There is no cure, but it is possible to prevent impairment.
