Ezi-Duct's latest project is a bit more playful than usual.
Ezi-Duct recently finished up an exciting and unique project. This time, we did something for the children, we are so happy and proud to be able to help produce parts for an interactive installation for Melbourne’s ScienceWorks’ latest permanent exhibition: Ground Up: Building Big Ideas, Together.
This exhibition is created to help spark young children’s interest in a life-time engagement with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The aim, in mind, for this project was to use real-world industrial materials to create a space where children are encouraged to build and create. For this project, we had to create some bright orange powder-coated bends to be attached to fans to create a playground where children can build and test flying contraptions in wind tubes. The Ezi-Duct bends are of lobster-back gore lock construction of 1.5 CLR, this gives added strength while still providing a smooth internal finish, so there’s no chance of the little flying inventions gets caught in the wind-tubes.
The lead designer on this project, Scott Parker, was impressed with the speed in which Ezi-Duct was able to create and supply these customised bends and was very happy with the products.
Ezi-Duct is a proud Australian manufacturer and produces its Ezi-Duct Modular Ducting in Australia in one of Ezi-Ducts three factories located in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. We can produce customised ducting systems for any project within a quick time frame.
The exhibition, Ground Up: Building Big Ideas, Together, opened up on December 4th, 2017 at ScienceWorks (Melbourne) just in time for the holiday period. So if there are little thinkers, tinkerers and builders that you know of, bring them down to check it out.
