This press-fit controller controls processes in which precisely defined functional relationships between two measurement variables must be demonstrated. For example such relationships exist between force and displacement during pressing, and between torque and angle of rotation during bolting.

This universal testing system is used widely in the monitoring of fastening, riveting and caulking operations, as well as in torque control in the production of hinges, seatback adjustment mechanisms, rotary switches, etc.
The test system can be used in the design and development phase for determining the setpoint characteristics of yet undetermined curves. The system computes and displays these curves graphically. Such curves can be stored and re-used as reference curves. The system can also be integrated into the production environment and monitor in full synchronization with the production system. The test system can also be used to assist in many manual tasks such as acceptance sampling in shipping and receiving.
Quick workpiece changes can also be performed, with up to 32 workpiece-specific parameter sets available, which can be controlled by PLC or by menu.
It is now possible to integrate DIGIFORCE into Profibus systems. The bus interface allows complete control of the testing system. In order to meet the requirements of a transmission rate of up to 1 Megabaud for fresh data on the bus, an additional 16 bit microprocessor has been used.
The instrument is available in three housing variants. Besides table and rack versions, this system is also available as a rugged wall-mounting version with protection to IP65.
