Extreme Safety are now proud to put this certification to their already class leading Barrier Outer Gloves - Leather.
Available in two options - sheep or goat, the Extreme Safety Barrier Outer Gloves - Leather offer the highest level of dexterity coupled with the highest level of durability of any such glove on the market. Below is an explanation of the rigorous testing that Extreme Safety Barrier Outer Gloves - Leather were recently put through in order to receive their stamp of approval.
AS/NZS 2161.3 Occupational Protective Gloves -
Protection Against Mechanical Risks (EN 388)
This standard specifies requirements, test methods, marking & information for protective gloves against the mechanical risk of Abrasion, Blade Cut, Tear & Puncture.
Defined as follows:
Abrasion Resistance - Is a measure of the number of cycles required for breakthrough to occur. Breakthrough is understood to mean when a hole is worn through the test specimen
Blade Cut Resistance - Is a measure of the materials cut resistance index. Specimens are cut by a counter-rotating circular blade, which moves with an alternating motion under a specified load.
Tear Resistance - Is a measure of the force necessary to propagate a tear in a specimen slit halfway along its length.
Puncture Resistance - Is a measure of the force exerted by a steel stylus of defined dimensions to puncture a test specimen held on a retaining device.
Test results are reported as performance ratings, the higher the rating the greater resistance/protection.
If you and your staff are struggling with feel and dexterity in your Barrier Outer Gloves - Leather and even you rubber insulating gloves - it is time to call Extreme Safety and solve your problems once and for all.
