Laboratory Mortar Mixer Suppliers in Hobart

A laboratory mortar mixer is a machine used in scientific laboratories to mix and homogenize small quantities of materials such as powders, pastes, and liquids. It consists of a motor-driven pestle that rotates and grinds the material against the walls of a mortar. The mixer is typically used in chemistry, biology, and pharmaceutical research to prepare samples for analysis or to create homogeneous mixtures for experiments. It is designed to be precise, efficient, and easy to clean, making it an essential tool for many laboratory applications.

There are several types of laboratory mortar mixers available in Australia, including:

• Manual Mortar Mixers: These are operated manually and are suitable for small-scale mixing tasks.
• Electric Mortar Mixers: These mixers are powered by electricity and are suitable for medium to large-scale mixing tasks.
• High-Speed Mortar Mixers: These mixers are designed to mix materials at high speeds and are suitable for mixing materials that require a high level of shear.
• Planetary Mortar Mixers: These mixers have a planetary motion that ensures thorough mixing of materials.
• Paddle Mortar Mixers: These mixers have a paddle that rotates inside the mixing bowl and is suitable for mixing materials that are difficult to mix.
• Ribbon Mortar Mixers: These mixers have a ribbon-shaped blade that rotates inside the mixing bowl and is suitable for mixing materials that are sensitive to shear.
• Double Cone Mortar Mixers: These mixers have two cones that rotate in opposite directions and are suitable for mixing materials that require gentle mixing.

Vacuum Mortar Mixers: These mixers have a vacuum system that removes air from the mixing bowl and is suitable for mixing materials that are sensitive to air.

The capacity of a Laboratory Mortar Mixer varies depending on the model and brand. However, most laboratory mortar mixers have a capacity of 5 to 10 liters.

The power source for a Laboratory Mortar Mixer is typically an electric motor.

However, based on my research, the price range for a laboratory mortar mixer in Australia can vary depending on the brand, model, and features. Generally, prices can range from around $500 to over $5,000 AUD. It is recommended to check with specific suppliers or manufacturers for current pricing information.

When buying a laboratory mortar mixer, there are several features to consider, including:

• Capacity: The capacity of the mixer should be appropriate for the sample size and the volume of material to be mixed.
• Speed: The speed of the mixer should be adjustable to allow for different mixing requirements.
• Power: The power of the mixer should be sufficient to handle the materials being mixed.
• Material: The material of the mixer should be durable and resistant to corrosion and wear.
• Safety features: The mixer should have safety features such as a locking mechanism, emergency stop button, and overload protection.
• Ease of use: The mixer should be easy to operate and clean.
• Accessories: The mixer should come with accessories such as mixing bowls, pestles, and blades.

Brand reputation: It is important to choose a reputable brand with a good track record in producing laboratory equipment.

However, warranty periods for laboratory equipment can vary depending on the manufacturer and the specific product. It is recommended to check the product manual or contact the manufacturer for information on the warranty period.

To maintain and clean a laboratory mortar mixer, follow these steps:

• After each use, remove any excess material from the mixer.
• Use a soft-bristled brush or a cloth to clean the mixer thoroughly.
• If there is any residue left in the mixer, use a mild detergent and warm water to clean it.
• Rinse the mixer with clean water and dry it with a clean cloth.
• Check the mixer for any signs of wear and tear, such as cracks or chips.
• Lubricate the moving parts of the mixer with a light oil or grease.
• Store the mixer in a dry and clean place.
• Periodically inspect the mixer for any signs of damage or wear and tear.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your laboratory mortar mixer remains clean and functional for a long time.

It is best to check with the supplier or manufacturer for the latest delivery information.
