Functioning Principle: Partially dried compressed Air is provided by the internal oil-free scroll, low noise and low vibration compressor module. Based on the field proven single stage Pressure Swing Adsorbtion (PSA) technology, Nitrogen is then extracted from AIR by a set of filters filled up with CMS.

After the extracting process, nebulizer and drying N2 with purity >99% is filtered from HC down to < 0.1ppm through a catalytic oven and then stored in a tank. Collision cell N2 stream, (>99.999%) is produced by a second step purification process. Output lines are regulated to the set values and filtered of remaining particulates down to 0.1µm. The NITRO20LCMS line is equipped with a Power Economy Function which switches off the compressor when consumption is reduced or stopped.
