Screw Conveyor or Augur Conveyor

A screw conveyor or auger conveyor uses a rotating helical screw blade usually within a tube, to move liquid or granular materials within a production facility. Screw conveyors are generally low maintenance and very long lasting and are an efficient method to move material horizontally or up a slight incline or even vertically.

Precision Stainless are specialists in designing and manufacturing screw conveyors for the food sector. In particular Precision has strong experience designing screw conveyors to process meat by-products in the abattoir sector.

Our screw conveyors are generally fabricated with a trough arrangement with the helical screw blade operating inside the trough. Our food handling screw conveyors are made with stainless steel.

To ensure safety but to make cleaning and maintenance simple, our screw conveyors are designed with removeable covers or screens.
