The new torque and force sensor has an independent output for each parameter. Whilst the specific application for the M-2396 is the measurement of the cutting force of drills in automatic drilling stations, the sensor can be applied to other similar applications such as automotive part assembly and testing.
The M-2396 torque/ force sensor is available in full scale ranges from 0.5kN/ 5N.m, to 2kN/ 50N.m. Input impedances are 700?/ 350? (torque/ force). Sensitivity is nominally 1mV/V and the recommended excitation is constant 2 to 12Vdc. Precision is rated at 0.2%FS (torque) and 0.3% (force). Overload rating is 130%FR for both parameters.
Lorenz dual channel microprocessor based amplifiers and digital indicators are available from Bestech Australia to complete the torque/ force measuring system and to match most application requirements.
