Durable, lightweight and compact stressing jacks are being introduced by Enerpac for use in the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries on elevated structures including bridges, beams, production plants, resource facilities and high-rise buildings.

The 30-ton hardened steel hollow double-acting jacks are part of a comprehensive family of stressing products from Enerpac, including a complete range of anchors, chucks, wedges and stressing jack systems for the pre-tension and post-tensioning, and resource industries including mining and energy.

The 6DAH series – weighing between 20-27kg (44-61lb) – stress strand up to .6" diameter, with their powered extension and retraction safely and simply controlled by a bleed valve on the pump. Standard jack strokes extend from 150-300mm (6-12in). For smaller strands .5", jack grippers are available.

Enerpac's family of stressing products is complemented by the global Enerpac range of high pressure (700 bar) precision hydraulics, including the advanced ZU4 pumps used to actuate them, which are widely proven in the construction, resources and infrastructure industries.

These high-efficiency two speed pumps feature higher oil flow and bypass pressure (85 bar) for cooler running that requires 18 per cent less current draw than comparable pumps. The high performance ZU4T's self-priming first stage increases pump performance by supercharging the second stage piston pump, improving oil flow in both hot and cold weather operations.

A specially engineered version of the ZU4 – the ZU4408REA300 has been engineered for the Enerpac jacks, featuring a bleed-off valve. After the cable is stressed to the correct tension, the operator slowly opens this value to allow the wedges to bind on to the cable without slippage.
