The Introduction
The DI45 is one of many quality process indicators available from Innovec with a LED display and panel mount housing. The instrument boasts a 14.2mm high 4.5 digit LED display capable of showing up to 19999 counts with rangeable engineering units.
The Application
On the Antipodean yacht the DI45 is used to measure the engine speeds by displaying the rpm. Marine diesel engines such as the MTU engines found on the Antipodean run at lower revs compared to your typical car engine. Because of this it is crucial that we are able to accurately display the rpm for the captain so that they can appropriately run the yacht.
The Instrument
Designed to accept all standard analogue process inputs and is capable of present a number of different engineering units, including the following:
- Millivolts
- Milliamps to 0-50mA
- Volts 0-110VDC in multiple steps
The instrument also has range cards for PT100 resistance bulbs, optional parallel BCD output and 24VDC - 30mA loop supply available on request.
