Features and benefits of SSEA Alternate Net Materials:
The materials and methods of manufacture have differing characteristics:
Knitted nets are generally stronger for the same diameter material as the knots do weaken the knotted net and the joining knots are a potential site of a net strand failing.
Note that the mesh size refers to the diagonal "knot to knot" dimension of the net. The square dimension is half this value.
Recognise that the net breaking load is 'per strand' and with a net of 50mm grid there is a strand taking the load every 50mm around the perimeter of the net, therefore collectively, nets can provide significant restraint capacity.
Specialised Safety Equipment Australia | Load Containment Safety Nets
Specialised Safety Equipment Australia's management has many years of experience in industries that require special emphasis to be placed upon safety. This experience has been gained in the building and construction, transport and training industries and the experience has been hands on as well as in management. In gaining this experience we have developed relationships in many fields which has allowed us to develop our products to be the best on the market.
These relationships include people in the regulatory bodies that overlook industry, as well as the manufacturers and end users of safety equipment. Safety nets are required for a multitude of purposes as well as for personnel fall safety (PFS).
Catching items falling from racking, conveyors, construction sites, bridges, dam walls, confining freight to within loaded trucks, utes or trailers etc are some of the uses to which nets are put. At Specialised Safety Equipment Australia our nets are based on the guidelines from the 'BS EN 1263-1' standard. This is an International standard which no other company in Australia has met.
