Pressure calibrators are used to ensure that the readings from pressure transducers and transmitters are accurate and valid for process control and operational monitoring. Therefore, they are reference pressure sensors and are used for automated calibration of other pressure sensors. High precision pressure calibrator is composed of a high precision pressure reference sensor, a pressure generating pump, a shut-off valve, and measuring electronics. For low and medium pressure ranges, pneumatic calibrators are used and hydraulic for high-pressure calibrations.
