Backplane Systems Technology is pleased to present Neousys NRU-222S. The Neousys NRU-222S represents a significant leap in intelligent video analytics and edge computing. As an NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ AI NVR, it is purpose-built for demanding video processing tasks. This powerful system is ideal for applications requiring real-time inference and video transcoding, from surveillance to predictive maintenance.

At the heart of the NRU-222S lies the NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ system-on-module (SOM), which boasts an Ampere GPU with up to 2048 CUDA cores and 64 Tensor cores. This powerful setup is further augmented by dual NVDLA 2.0 Engines, providing an impressive 275 sparse TOPS (INT8) AI inference. The device can handle video transcoding of up to twenty-two 1080P video streams simultaneously, making it a powerhouse for video analytics.

The NRU-222S is designed with ruggedness in mind. It operates fanlessly within a temperature range of -25°C to 70°C, ensuring reliable performance even in extreme environments. The system is equipped with two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four PoE+ ports, which can power IP cameras directly. Additionally, it offers flexible storage options, including two front-accessible 2.5” SSD trays and an M.2 2280 M key socket for NVMe SSD.

Connectivity is a strong suit for the NRU-222S. It includes two mini-PCIe sockets for various modules like WiFi, GNSS, NVMe, or CAN, along with an M.2 B key socket for 4G/5G mobile communications. The inclusion of isolated RS-485 and RS232 ports adds to its versatility.

One standout feature of the NRU-222S is its 8V to 48V wide-range DC input with built-in ignition power control, making it suitable for in-vehicle applications. Its unique damping bracket design further enhances its suitability for environments prone to shock and vibration, such as agricultural, construction, and mining applications.

In summary, the Neousys NRU-222S is a compact, rugged, and powerful edge AI platform, making it an excellent choice for a variety of industrial and mobile applications requiring high-performance video analytics and AI inference.
