Typical applications will be battery isolation in trucks, buses, construction machinery and special vehicles.
The power relays are designed for continuous loads up to 300 A and current peaks of up to 2400 A and therefore suitable for switching huge loads, e.g. illumination equipment of harvesters, or for use in power distribution systems in construction machinery, e.g. hydraulic pumps. The power relays can be operated from the driver’s cabin and protect the circuit by means of physical isolation.
The offered voltage ratings 12V, 24V and 48V allow use of the power relays in all types of vehicles. The terminal thread sizes M8 (100A and 200A) and M10 (200A and 300A) provide reliable connection and allow flexible wiring and running of cables in the vehicle even with large cable cross sections. A barrier between the load terminals prevents inadvertent contact of different potentials and ensures safety when bolting on.
Permanent and reliable contact to the control coil is provided by an M4 screw connection. Optionally available suppressor diodes eliminate voltage peaks which could jeopardise any control elements and which are created by the residual magnetism when switching off the control voltage. Side mount or foot mount ensures robust installation of the power relays even under harsh conditions. The enclosure provides protection class IP67 and allows installation in exposed exterior locations. The terminal area with IP00 features superior materials such as stainless steel nuts which do not affect endurance of the power relays and which are resistant against oil and fuel.
