This stand alone renewable energy package uses the tried & proven Victron hardware mentioned above & the intelligent Victron Colour Control GX screen. Detailed system information and power harvest / usage history is displayed on the intuitive Colour Control GX panel. Once connected to you home network via cable or WiFi – all this information can be viewed from your smart phone or PC. If you have the internet connected you can view full system information & history from anywhere in the world using Victron’s free VRM remote monitoring app or website.

This system also features a Lead Carbon battery bank: These Lead Carbon batteries have an impressive 3500 cycles to 50% depth of discharge (or 2000 cycles to 80% maximum Depth of Discharge) and 20 year design life- more than DOUBLE the ratings for GEL/AGM.  These batteries combine the diverse advantages of sealed lead acid and super capacitor technology to produce a high quality energy storage system which can power your home for many years to come. .

On average, there will be 12kW-hours of power available from the solar array per day – based on 4hrs of effective sunshine per day. More sunshine = more power. This large solar PV design principle reduces the amount of time the batteries will be low on charge, which maximises their life expectancy & provides far more reliable power.

Overnight or during badly overcast weather, the battery reserve capacity will give the following power from full charge down to 50%:

• 5.76kW-hours for one day, or
• 2.88kW-hours per day for two days, or
• 1.92kW-hours per day for three days, or
• 1.44kW-hours per day for four days

The solar array can then recharge the battery bank from 50% in around 3.5 hours of effective sunshine, depending on any loads running on the system at the same time. A generator can be used for backup in very poor conditions to both keep the batteries charged & power the household loads.
