OK-Vise low-profile clamps operate by expanding when tightened, thereby clamping the workpiece/s against a fixed stop or locator. Small in size, yet big on clamp force, these clamps are designed to fit between pieces to be machined and are manually operated via one M8 bolt with an allen key wrench.
Low profile OK-vise clamps can be used on single machines just as successfully as in large flexible manufacturing systems. No additional investment other than fixed stops is required, making it an extremely cost effective workholding principle.
The extremely compact design means that it is easy to arrange multiple workpieces on the same fixture for excellent productivity.
Standard models come with a hardness of 48-52 HRC and the jaws are serrated with smooth jaws also available on request. Both the wedge and jaws are made of tool steel and are through hardened.
OK-Vise clamps come in two basic models, one with a single-wedge and the other with a double-wedge construction.
In addition, units can be ordered with machinable jaws for workpieces of irregular shape and a special model caters for castings and wire EDM applications.
