A combination of activated sludge and fixed film treatment. A tank is partially filled with Bio media for bacteria to grow, increasing the concentration of microorganisms over a traditional activated sludge reactor.

Aerofloat’s patent-pending MBBR technology provides a simple, low-maintenance and cost effective solution for biological wastewater treatment. The unique design of the aeration lances allows them to be removed from the reactor while the process is still operating, without draining the tank or removing the biomedia.
