SCHUNK offers more than 1200 different jaw types, each precision formed to enable any clamping requirement to hold parts firmly and reliably. SCHUNK are the first jaw company to grind T-slot and fine serrations for superior performance.
All Schunk chuck jaws have ground serrations which reduce potential damage to the base jaws and increase stability during the clamping operation to improve overall workpiece quality.
Romheld Australia now stocks the entire range of popular chuck jaws outlined in a 16-page catalogue with jaws are available to suit all popular chucks used throughout Australian industry, including Kitagawa, SMW/Autoblok, Rohm, Berg, Howa, Forkhardt and, of course, Schunk.
The complete range of Schunk chuck jaws comprises over 1,200 items and includes standard hard and soft jaws, claw jaws for safe clamping at high rpm's, collet jaws for bar machining, specialised jaws (fibreglass etc) for high speed/low deformation and pendulum jaws for clamping thin walled workpieces.
In addition, an optional system is available to convert chucks into quick-jaw-change units to considerably reduce set-up times. Each base jaw is fitted with a support jaw, to which top jaws are quickly assembled in about 5 seconds each, via a single integrated pressure bolt.
