The compact SK 500E product range offers versatile solutions at a low price. Because of its function-orientated performance levels, there is a suitable type for almost all applications, without change to the user interface of the device.

With simple parameterisation and rapid commissioning thanks to fully automatic, intelligent motor identification, the SK 500E is not just for simple solutions, but is also the ideal solution for complex requirements up to positioning control.

SK 500E Basic Unit – The Versatile Compact Inverter

Even the basic unit has a comprehensive range of features:

  • High quality control process through sensorless current vector control (ISD)
  • 5 control inputs, which can be parameterised to various digital and analogue control functions
  • 2 analogue inputs, 1 analogue output
  • Automatic motor parameter identification
  • Four parameter sets, switchable online
  • Integrated brake chopper for regenerative, 4 quadrant generator operation
  • PID controller and process controller

RS 232 & RS485 (RJ12 connector) diagnostic interface

  • 32 fixed frequencies (binary coded)

SK 510E – The ideal enhancement for Drive Safety

Where personnel need to work near to rotating machinery, secure protection against the restart of the motor can be implemented. For this, the SK 510E is equipped with a “Safe impulse block” (electronic - no wearing parts), which as a maximum, can comply with safety category 4 as per EN 945-1 (EN 13849-1).

This results in a cost benefit by eliminating the need for contactor components and enables permanent online availability.

SK 520E – Extended features for Speed Regulation and Automation Integration

If integration into an automation system is required, the SK 520E offers a cost-orientated solution by means of an on-board CAN open interface. With this, inverters can be linked to each other and other peripherals can be integrated.

An incremental encoder input enables torque and speed regulation (e.g. full torque down to zero speed). Further control signals and an RS485 interface provide even greater convenience:

SK 530E – Maximum configuration, with Servo Functionality

The SK 530E combines all the functions of the whole product range, such as the "Safe stop", on-board CAN open interface and incremental encoder input.

In addition, this model is equipped with integrated positioning control for absolute (e.g. finite axis) or relative (e.g. step width) positioning. With this concept, servo applications can be replaced with an asynchronous motor solution, which can save costs considerably.

SK 505E – Online Availability in Automation Systems

With the SK 505E and SK 535E variants, the control card of the inverter can be supplied with a separate 24VDC supply, which ensures high machine availability, even if the mains power is switched off. This enables separate commissioning of the control and power sections.

NEW – The SK 500E product family has increased up to 22kW

Since the end of 2008, the SK 500E product series has been extended with an additional power range of 11 kW – 22 kW.

This represents a further advance for a continuous product series over a wide range of power ratings. These power ranges are divided into the performance levels SK 515E and SK 535E.

SK 515E
