Bestech Australia offers the Tower Crane Personal Simulator, designed to put trainees at the controls of a modern freestanding top-slewing tower crane with trolley jib. The virtual worksite is set in a typical construction environment and features terrain with a variety of loads and hook blocks for training. Training efficiency is delivered through a modular Instructional Design that teaches real skills for productive and safe equipment operations in the field.
The simulator is programmed to teach real-world operating skills such as positioning girders at target positions as part of steel erection, and mastering load movement by positioning concrete buckets at target positions. For each simulation module, comprehensive performance indicators measure the quality and productivity of the students’ work. A total of 10 performance indicators are precisely measured, including execution time, maximum height error, maximum lateral distance error, and fatal errors when load chart capacities are exceeded. The simulation software automatically tracks and reports simulation results, allowing students to train unsupervised and learn at their own pace.
The optional Simulation Manager adds the efficiency of a central database for keeping track of simulation results. A single Simulation Manager is compatible with all Personal Simulators – whether on a single station or networked lab. This allows control user access to all Personal Simulators to make it easy for instructors to organize training into learning groups/classes.
