In addition to the standard machine the twin head enables continuous operation by virtue of having two labelling heads in line. At any time it is possible to swap between heads, enabling reloading of label reels or thermal printer ribbon on the unused head. An extra benefit is that it is possible to make ready the label for the next product to be produced, minimising production downtime.
The sleever is an inline machine, designed for maximum flexibility and eliminates the need to turn the packs. Safety is ensured by two independent covers for the label cutting and feeding mechanisms whilst still permitting the packs to pass through the machine for labelling on one of the heads.
As with all LSL machines it's unique, linerless, adhesive backed labels make wasteful, non-recyclable backing papers a thing of the past. A touch screen main control panel simplifies operation, with a simple remote panel for the second head.
It is also possible to supply the LSL 500T with twin flash labellers enabling continuous operation when promotional labelling. A range of thermal transfer coders can be supplied for overprinting, with one printer for each head.
In addition to sleeving fixed weight product there is the option of linking it to weigh scales from a range of manufacturers for variable weight product as well as check-weighing. Production speeds have not been compromised, in fixed weight mode 120ppm is possible and by linking to the latest weigh scales over 100ppm is possible in variable weight systems.
