TNT 35
Test Monitoring Unit for Type 2 Sensors

Every 2 seconds, the test monitoring unit TNT 35 performs a periodic test on the protective function of the connected testable sensor, without interfering in the production process of the safeguarded machine. This rapid succession of periodic functional tests ensures a maximum of Type 2 functional safety.

Advantages
•  Test monitoring unit, Type 2, in accordance with EN/IEC 61496-1,-2
•  Continuous cyclical testing (every 2 s) does not interrupt the operating function
•  2 safety relay outputs with internal monitoring
•  Can be connected to all Leuze lumiflex Type 2 safety sensors
•  Selectable start and restart interlock
•  Integrated relay monitoring (EDM – external device monitoring)
•  Status outputs as pnp transistor outputs
•  LED indicators for all important functions and operating states
•  Requires minimal space in electronics cabinet due to compact design

TMC 66
Test Monitoring Unit with Muting for Type 2 Sensors

TMC 66 is a combination of a test monitoring unit and a muting controller. The connected testable Type 2 sensor and the testable muting sensors are checked every 2 seconds by means of a cyclical functional test without interfering in the machine function.

Advantages
•  Test monitoring unit, Type 2, with muting function in accordance with EN/IEC 61496-1.-2
•  Safety relay output with failsafe monitoring
•  Continuous cyclical testing (every 2 s) does not interrupt the operating function
•  Can be connected to all common testable safety light barriers
•  Start/restart interlock and relay monitoring selectable
•  Processing of PLC control signals as muting initiator
•  Connection for two monitoring muting light indicators (required according to EN 61496-1)
•  Integrated muting restart mode (start with darkened BWS)
•  Separate status outputs as pnp transistor outputs
