Every 2 seconds, the test monitoring unit TNT 35 performs a periodic test on the protective function of the connected testable sensor, without interfering in the production process of the safeguarded machine. This rapid succession of periodic functional tests ensures a maximum of Type 2 functional safety.

TMC 66 Test Monitoring Unit with Muting for Type 2 Sensors
TMC 66 is a combination of a test monitoring unit and a muting controller. The connected testable Type 2 sensor and the testable muting sensors are checked every 2 seconds by means of a cyclical functional test without interfering in the machine function.
