FSCAN-4280DB & 6500DB Bulk Food X-ray Inspection

The XAVIS FSCAN-4280DB and FSCAN-6500DB provide X-ray inspection of unpackaged bulk products, including nuts, fruit, dried vegetables, coffee beans and seafood.

Unpackaged bulk-product inspection

Bulk X-ray inspection

Two named bulk models: XAVIS FSCAN-4280DB and FSCAN-6500DB.
Listed for unpackaged bulk-product inspection.
Application examples include nuts, fruit, dried vegetables, coffee beans and seafood.
The DB bulk models should be assessed separately from packaged-product D and DAC configurations.

Specifications

Specification	FSCAN-4280DB	FSCAN-6500DB
X-ray generator	80 kV / 100 W	120 kV / 480 W
Belt width	420 mm	620 mm
Maximum conveyor speed	49 m/min	30 m/min

Bulk-product presentation and assessment

Application assessment considers the product, expected bed depth, material distribution across the conveyor and inspection target alongside the listed belt width and generator rating.
Maximum belt speed alone cannot be converted into a guaranteed mass-throughput figure.
Assessment also considers the upstream feed, changes in product size or density, and how material leaves the inspection belt.
Representative products and agreed contaminant samples are required for evaluation.
The selected model, usable opening, cleaning requirements and line interface need confirmation with the proposed configuration.
The full model designation should be retained when comparing specifications or requesting current equipment drawings.
