Industrial X-ray Inspection | XSCAN-8000 Industrial CT Configurations

The XAVIS XSCAN-8000 series offers industrial CT configurations for electronic components, batteries, diecast parts and automotive parts, using an open tube with a 4 µm focal spot.

Open tube with a 4 µm focal spot

Source and detector configurations

Configuration	Voltage	Power
8225(BCT)	225 kV	280 W
8225(CT)	225 kV	280 W
8300(CT)	300 kV	280 W

Open tube with a 4 µm focal spot.
Detector configuration choices: 5-, 8-, 12- and 16-inch. These are alternatives, not detectors fitted to every machine.

Industrial CT applications

Electronic components.
Batteries.
Diecast parts.
Automotive parts.
Sample material and inspection task inform configuration selection. Battery and diecast-part inspections may require different source and detector choices within the series.

Configuration and sample review

Configuration review requires part dimensions, material, area of interest and required internal views.
Confirm the exact source, detector and reconstruction requirements before relying on a model comparison.
Identify the features to measure or review, largest sample envelope and intended evaluation criteria, including how images or reconstructed data will be assessed.
Tube focal-spot size alone does not establish the smallest defect detectable in every part.
Confirm current configuration drawings and utility requirements for the selected model.
