The Divergator is particularly suited to applications where a sharp separation is not required, or where a relatively small amount of coarse oversize material needs to be removed from the product stream. It uses bars arranged in two angled planes, with alternate bars positioned high and low. This creates progressively greater spacing along the bars, providing the screen's self-cleaning action.
