Automated powder filling

• Fully integrated automatic powder filling solution.
• An optional automatic bag presenter and integrated bag closing system complete the powder filling and container closing solution for flexible bags.
• Automated container feeding and handling equipment for boxes or drums can be easily interchanged for flexibility in packaging choice.
• Integrated control system and guarding interlocked to the filling system ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Reliable automatic operation helps protect product quality throughout packing and into the finished container.
• High overall operational effectiveness (OEE), with operation at the guaranteed production rate in a safe packing environment.

Controls and performance reporting

• Ethernet connectivity to the filler enables connection to the plant SCADA system.
• Built-in performance reporting lets operators monitor powder packing performance and fine-tune operating settings for maximum performance.

Principle of operation

• The main filling station uses auger powder discharge to control powder flow into the bag during filling.
• An automated clamp lifts the bag, box or drum ready for filling. As powder is discharged, the head gently lowers until the final fill weight is achieved.
• Bottom-up filling minimises powder disturbance, reducing dust emission and subsequent product loss.
• The container moves automatically from the filling position to a vacuum station, where surplus air is removed from the powder.
• Air removal reduces final pack volume, which is essential for flexible containers, and reduces the risk of damage when filled containers are stacked in multiple layers.
• An optional secondary filling station increases production capacity and produces a high accuracy finished pack.

Production capacity

• The stated production rate applies when a secondary filling station is included.
