Klausen Process Machinery lump breakers feature heavy duty construction and low-RPM operation to restore caked and agglomerated powders to a free-flowing state without grinding them finer.

Also called lump crushers or delumpers, these compact, versatile and economical machines break caked powders and agglomerates back into their original particles rather than milling them finer.
Help protect feeders, conveyors and sifter screens, maintain accurate batch weights and reduce manual lump breaking.
Designed, built and factory tested in Kings Park, Sydney.
Available as stand-alone units or as part of complete intake and processing systems.

Handles chemicals, detergents, pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, sugar, salt, food products, plastics and waste materials.
Breaks caked sugar from bulk bags and silos before mixing or conveying.
Handles food and pharmaceutical ingredients that clump in humid storage, including milk powders, starches, excipients and intermediates.
Applications also include agglomerated plastics additives and fillers before compounding, and compacted minerals and building products.
Installation positions include under bulk bag dischargers and bag tip stations; between silos and pneumatic conveyors; after dryers and coolers; and ahead of sifters, mills, rotary valves and packing machines.

Each machine is sized to the product and processing line, considering material, bulk density, typical and maximum lump size, required outlet size, peak throughput, flange sizes and available height.
Rotor and screen arrangements can be recommended following product trials.
Flanges, height and transition pieces can be matched to existing equipment, including bulk bag unloaders, bag tip stations and silos.
Can form part of a charging setup incorporating platforms and bag lifters, feeding mixers or conveyors.

Slightly damp or sticky products can often be handled with suitable rotor and screen choices; very sticky materials may smear or build up. Trials can confirm suitability.
Very hard lumps may produce some fines, but much less than with a mill.
