PerMix PDP Double Industrial Planetary Mixer

Supplier: FlowTherm Australia

The PerMix PDP Double Planetary Mixer mixes, kneads, stirs and deaerates materials with viscosities up to 1,500,000 cPs, and can granulate wet powders.

Handles very viscous materials

Also called a double planetary kneader; handles highly viscous pastes and can mix, knead, stir, deaerate and granulate wet powders.
Two vertically mounted mixing tools share a drive unit and drive shaft. They rotate around a common sun gear while rotating at higher speed around their own axes, following the planetary principle.
Standard overlapping finger-blade mixing tools create strong axial and radial motions, with highly intensive shearing and dispersing effects. Material is thoroughly mixed within a short time, including very difficult formulas.
Detachable scrapers at the bottom of the mixing tools, usually made from PTFE, scrape material from the tank bottom.
A swinging side scraper continually sweeps the vessel’s inside wall, moving material towards the mixing tools and transferring heat efficiently.

A quick vessel locking device connects the mixing vessel to the mixer.
The vessel is mounted on fixed and swivel wheels for easy transport.
Standard dual mixing-tool shafts run in heavy duty ball bearings.
Mixing tools and scrapers can be supplied with a special bayonet locking system for easy disassembly.
The upper head is lifted by manual, mechanical or hydraulic elevating systems, depending on machine size. Alternatively, the tank can be designed to lift from below using pneumatic or hydraulic arrangements.

Electrical TEFC single speed motors/ gearboxes are the standard drive units.
Ex-proof design motors are available.
Options for special applications include infinity variable speeds, hydraulic drive units, heating/cooling jacket and vacuum/pressurized operation.
