Specifications

Design and mixing performance

• Design derived from Plow Mixers, also known as Ploughshare Mixers or Plough Mixers.
• Uses paddle mixing elements, whereas the PerMix PTS Plow Mixer uses plough-shaped elements.
• Provides the same mixing performance as a Plow Mixer while requiring much less power consumption.
• Lower paddle rotation speed results in less mixing-element wear than with plough elements.
• Performs better with viscous or sticky materials, such as slurries, because these materials tend to wrap around plough-shaped elements but not paddles.
• Mixes more aggressively than conventional Ribbon Blenders while maintaining similar power consumption. The uniquely designed paddles are more pitched than ribbons and move more material in a single turn.
• An aggressive mixer suitable for high mixture ratio processes.

Applications

Can be used wherever Plow Mixers are used, including:

• Compounding and fine mixing.
• Dispersing, suspending and emulsifying.
• Deaerating and tempering.
• Accelerating chemical or physical reactions.
• Granulating and breaking down agglomerates.
