Hydronix Hydro-Mix XT-EX Digital Microwave Moisture Sensor

Grain & feed in Zone 20/21 areas

The Hydronix Hydro-Mix XT-EX (HMXT-EX01) is a heavy-duty, flush-mount digital microwave moisture sensor engineered for hazardous dust environments. Fully certified for Zone 20/21 and Class II, Division 1/2 locations, it delivers precise, real-time moisture measurements for bulk solids and liquids in high-risk dust applications.

As a self-contained unit, the sensor executes all signal processing, temperature compensation, and data averaging directly on-board. It integrates seamlessly into industrial plant control systems via direct linear outputs or network communications.

Key Features & Benefits

Hazardous Dust Safety Certifications: Certified for installation in ATEX/IECEx Zone 20/21 (Zone 20 internal to process, Zone 21 external) and Class II, Division 1/2 environments.
High-Speed Measurement: Digital technology performs 25 readings per second for fast response times and precise digital signal processing.
Flush-Mount Design: Mounts flush with internal walls of mixers, hoppers, ducting, dryer outlets, and conveyor systems using a dedicated fixing plate and seal assembly.
Self-Contained Intelligence: Internal electronics handle digital signal processing, temperature compensation, configurable alarms, and signal averaging without requiring external processing units.
Calibration Stability: Provides consistent operational performance across material batches without needing frequent recalibration.
Remote Management: Compatible with Hydronix Hydro-Com software for simple configuration, calibration, diagnostics, and firmware updates.

Supported Applications & Materials

Designed for continuous flow monitoring across hoppers, ducting, conveyors, mixer vessels, and dryer outlets in explosive dust environments

Agricultural & Food Processing: Grain, rice, seeds, nuts, animal feed, and pulses.
Industrial Bulk Solids & Liquids: Granules, bulk powders, and process liquids.
