Formerly a Wavecom product, this Sierra Wireless modem has a versatile plug & play form factor designed to accommodate any additional features thanks to a revolutionary open standard Internal Expansion Socket. Sierra Wireless has developed a variety of ready to use expansion modules, including the new Ethernet IESM, or one of your own.
Evolve to the latest cellular technology and add functionality without sacrificing the form factor you've come to rely on. The Fastrack Supreme is the same size, has the same interfaces and is completely backward compatible.
Every Fastrack Supreme features a Sierra Wireless Q26-family Wireless CPU®: a powerful central processing unit with an ARM9 32 bit, 26-104MHz core.
Choose from four Sierra Wireless expansion cards. Add additional IO connectivity or features like GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and more. The open interface means you can develop your own expansion modules for your specific needs. Or, choose a Sierra Wireless expansion card.
The Fastrack Supreme exists in 2 versions:
- Fastrack Supreme 10 supporting class10 GPRS
- Fastrack Supreme 20 supporting class10 Edge
- IESM-Ethernet (FSUE04)
The Internal Expansion Socket Module (IESM) Ethernet board can be fitted to the Fastrack Supreme to connect remote serial devices to an Ethernet network over GPRS.
This IESM Ethernet board has a 10BaseT RJ45 interface and expands the functionality of the standard Wavecom Fastrack Supreme to a state-of-the-art Ethernet device for machine-to-machine applications. The Ethernet / Fastrack Supreme bundle can act as a router/gateway utilizing wireless GSM/GPRS to provide primary network connectivity to any Ethernet device, or small networks of IP devices.
Key Features of the IESM:
- Internet Plug-In (WIP 5.0) allows automatic connection to the internet thanks to TCP/IP
- DNS support
- DHCP client for automatic configuration or static IP addressing
